GardenWorx Inc. took root in the vibrant community of Miller Place in the fall of 2016, born from the shared dreams of Connie and Joe.
Long before the inception of GardenWorx, Joe had made a name for himself as "Joey Mums," a testament to his decades spent nurturing annual flowers and selling them at street fairs throughout Nassau County.
His dedication to the craft and his customers built a loyal following who knew him not just for his exceptional flowers, but for his warmth and spirit.
Connie, with her lifelong devotion to horticulture, brought a wealth of experience from her years in the florist, greenhouse, and customer service industries.
Her ability to connect with people, coupled with her deep knowledge of plants, made her the perfect complement to Joe. Together, they envisioned a place where the community could come together, a haven for plant lovers and novices alike, rooted in trust, quality, and unparalleled service.
As Gardenworx blossomed, so did its family. The duo became friends with Anton, a visionary with over 30 years of experience in greenhouse construction and controlled environment agriculture.
Anton had honed his experiences around the globe, instructed & educated by from the cutting-edge greenhouses of Holland to various influential companies on the East Coast.
His expertise in ensuring cleanliness and the quality of material, along with his knack for keeping operations running on a tight schedule, were instrumental in the expansion of Gardenworx the fall of 2021, a new chapter began with the opening of the Gardenworx location in Riverhead.
This expansion was not just about growing the business but about deepening the roots within the community and expanding the reach of their shared passion for horticulture.
The Riverhead location embodied the culmination of years of experience, friendship, and the shared dream of Connie, Joe, and Anton.
Today, GardenWorx stands as a testament to the power of passion, dedication, and community.
With over 70% of its material grown in-house, each plant at GardenWorx is a symbol of the commitment to quality and sustainability that Connie, Joe, and Anton have championed from the start.
